Get a Kid With Medical Needs Out of Gaza

I have a friend in Seattle who created an organization that is working to get people out of Gaza. So far, she and her group Donkeysaddle Projects have evacuated over 100 individuals and set them up with critical basic needs like housing or medical care for at least several months. In fact, my friend is heading to Cairo herself this week to help keep these operations running smoothly. And to hug friends and loved ones from Palestine she didn't know if she'd ever see again.

Using the bathtub metaphor, this action is like bailing when the bathtub faucet is on full force. In this case, bailing helps some individuals live, even thrive. That’s really important. I recommend balancing this action with another that works to stem the flow.

Your action:

  • Contribute directly to Donkeysaddle's Palestine Grassroots Distribution Project

  • Even better, reach out to your family, your workplace, your friends, and any other community you're part of. Take up a collection, make an even bigger impact with your contribution.

  • Commit to the full cost of evacuating one family. This could range from $10-$25k. Contact Donkeysaddle Projects directly for arrangements.
